Righteous Recourse

John 3:16-21
The world, those who are not yet redeemed do not have your advantages, they are in great peril, and you hold the hope of there rescue in your hands. However, to hold the hope of their rescue in your hands and do nothing with it is as good as ________. (See Heb.6:10-12) When salt loses it’s saltiness….? (Review 2Peter 1:3-11)
You, whoever you are, if you have been redeemed need to consider who you were before and who you would be without Jesus’ redeeming work applied to your life. What were you before? What would you be now? Where would your walk in darkness have taken you? I would like to know this one thing, has it been a blessing for you to have been in Christ Jesus? (Col.1:9-14 our rescue is equal to theirs)
If we want to please Jesus, who is the inspector of our life, then we must live our lives on purpose. What I mean by that is we choose how we are going to live, and we choose how we are going to react to life as it happens to us. It is not in the gathering of the saints that our light is needed. (Jesus is light in the gathering) Light, your light is needed where the darkness is. Salt is needed where it is sprinkled and poured out, then is when it needs to be found salty.
If you desire to please Jesus then you must be proactively involved in four areas: survival, rescue, confrontation, and victory. If Paul would not have survived, who’s lives would have been effected? The future requires your presence. Who is rescued by whom? Rescue is accomplished through the redeemed. Who bears the responsibility to stand against evil? The righteous bear the responsibility to confront. Does victory come to those not in the game? We might cheer for the victorious, but who gains the blessing and honor; only those who participated and labored in the battle.
The following list is not comprehensive but will give us some understanding as to what is good for us to be involved in for all our lives.
