You
Don’t Have Enough Fingers & Toes
Ps 40:1-5 (5)
Welcome all
We
are here today on what the world calls Easter Sunday. I don’t know if this is
the exact Sunday the Jesus rose from the grave and conquered death (Lk 24:1-12,
Acts
We are going to talk about Jesus today and touch on some of the wonderful things that God has done for us. I can’t speak for nobody but my self when I say that the only reason that I’m standing here today is completely because of God and what Jesus has done for me.
David said that he would not be unable to count all the good that God had done for him. I for one am in the same boat with David on this subject. I could no way begin to count all that God has done for me. So what has God done for us? We have to go back to the beginning to see that.
First God made the sun, moon and stars, the heavens and earth, the animals on the earth, God made man and he made a mate for man, woman (Gen 1:1-27). God made a place for man / woman to live on earth called the garden of Eden, and man / woman came in and screwed everything up for all of us (Gen 3:1-24)
Now because we are who we are, and could not get it right after that. God being who he is asked Jesus to come to earth and live a life for us to see and get and example from, as to what God wants from us and not only that but to die for our sins as well.
Ps 139:17-18
Why should Gods thoughts be so precious to us? Thoughts will lead to action, and God’s thoughts has brought out some awesome actions on our behalf.
Jesus is one of the greatest thoughts that God ever had and as our title says you just don’t have enough fingers and toes to count the rest.
Jesus set some awesome examples for us and one of the greatest (I think) is this. (Lk 5:31-32).
Jesus came to give me and you a chance to get it right, and because of this and giving us a chance we need to be doing what Jesus was doing. Helping those that are lost in the sins of this world. Jesus is the medicine that sin sick people need. We (Christian) are the doctors and nurses that help them get the medicine that they need. The question is, are you doing your part as a doctor or nurse?
One thing for all of us to remember is that even doctors and nurses get sick, and when they do those that are well need to be helping them (1Jn 4:16-21)
The
one thing that all the gospels have in common is that they all end with Jesus
death and his resurrections. Jesus has and is still doing his part for mankind.
He left heaven came to this cruel sin sick earth. Lived a life that consisted of
giving to others, had family and friends turn there back on him and faced death
all alone. Got up on the first day of the week finished his mission on earth and
is now making intercession for all of us. (Heb 7:24-25 & Rom
I
want to point out one more great thing that Jesus has done for us (Jn 16:7 Acts
Jesus had to leave so that God could send his holy spirit
to us to help us along this road of life (Rom
I don’t know about you but Jesus went through a lot just to give me a chance at heaven. I don’t want to let him down by just sitting here and doing nothing. We all have a part to play in Gods plan of salvation.
Remember you don’t have enough fingers and toes, so don’t waste time trying to count just get busy doing…..
